Lawyer Overview

Mr. Stegmaier has been involved in the field of criminal law for over thirteen years. He currently practices in all areas of criminal law and traffic law in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren Counties. Mr. Stegmaier was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio in November of 2008 and has been an attorney with The Law Office of Steven R. Adams since February of 2009. He is certified in the administration of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and as a Senior Operator of the Intoxylizer 5000 blood alcohol content testing machine.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Stegmaier was a Police Officer with the West Chester Township Police Department in West Chester, Ohio from 1995-2009. While working as a Police Officer, Mr. Stegmaier served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Crime Prevention Officer, School Resource Officer, and Warrants Officer. While working as a Warrants Officer, Mr. Stegmaier researched various legal issues for the Police Department.

While working as a Police Officer, Mr. Stegmaier earned his Juris Doctorate from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law from 2004-2008. While attending the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, he participated on the school's National Trial Advocacy Team for two years where he was a Regional Semi-Finalist in the 2008 American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition. In addition to his success in competition, Mr. Stegmaier also demonstrated academic success making the Dean's List and finishing in the top third of his class.

Prior to his career as a Police Officer, Mr. Stegmaier worked as a Linesman in the East Coast Hockey League. He is a 1992 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
