Law Firm Overview

Douglas Grauel, Esq. practices personal injury, worker’s compensation, and criminal law from his office in Concord, New Hampshire. He is a member of the bar in New Hampshire and Maine. Doug was born and grew up in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in 1985 with a B.S. in Technical Writing and Editing, then worked at IBM in California before earning a Master’s degree in Rhetoric from The Ohio State University in 1989. Doug went on to law school at Ohio State, where he graduated With Honors in 1992. Doug won the 1992 Judge Joseph Harter Memorial Award for Excellence in Trial Practice.

After law school, Doug clerked for Chief Justice Thomas Delahanty of the Maine Superior Court. Since 1993, Doug has maintained a trial practice representing people who have been injured in car crashes, by defective products, or in the workplace, as well as people accused of crimes. Doug also has extensive experience in business litigation and construction law involving complex scientific and technical issues. His experience has ranged from representing individuals to multinational engineering firms in state and federal court and before arbitration panels from Maine to California. Outside the courtroom, Doug enjoys bicycling, Nordic skiing, running, and coffee; most of all he enjoys time with his family.
