Daniel B. McMahon is a member of the Plunkett Cooney's Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group. He focuses his practice in the areas of loan workouts and foreclosures, bankruptcy, commercial real estate, loan documentation and construction loans.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McMahon worked approximately 30 years for LaSalle Bank Corporation, formerly known as Michigan National Corporation as the First Vice President/ Senior Counsel. He represented commercial lenders and workout groups of middle and small business loans, involving troubled credit, litigation, bankruptcy and transactional loan documentation.

Mr. McMahon was instrumental in establishing the bank's full service law department for Southeast Michigan, where he developed the department's competencies in commercial loan documentation, bank services and regulatory functions.

A frequent lecturer on various banking issues, Mr. McMahon is a member of the State Bar of Michigan's Real Estate Law Section and Pro Bono Committee. He is also a member of the Birmingham Brownfield Redevelopment Committee, as well as a volunteer pro bono attorney with Community Legal Resources.
