Lawyer Overview

Catherine Woltering is a member of the firm's Litigation practice group. She has experience ranging from complex litigation to routine disputes.

Ms. Woltering was a member of the team which successfully defeated a shareholder derivative action designed to derail the merger of the firm’s client, IKON Office Solutions, with Ricoh.

Currently, Ms. Woltering is part of the team assigned in the SIPA proceeding to assist the trustee in connection with his investigation of the Madoff Ponzi scheme. She has been participating in document reviews, fact investigations and preparing discovery pleadings.

Ms. Woltering has also played an active role in the Columbus office class action litigation practice.

Beyond her complex litigation experience, Ms. Woltering has been involved in a range of matters, which include responding to third-party subpoenas, appearing at mediations and arbitrations and representing clients in routine commercial matters.

During law school, Ms. Woltering was the Articles Editor of the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution, a national runner-up in the American Bar Association's Advocacy in Mediation Competition (2007), the Lawrence Negotiation Competition champion (2007) and a two-time champion of The Michael Colley Trial Skills Competition. Ms. Woltering's recent article, "Jack Ehleiter v. Grapetree Shores, Inc.," was published in the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution in 2008.
