Lawyer Overview

Robyn Goldstein joined the Houston office of Baker Hostetler in September 2008. Ms. Goldstein assists with representing management in employment cases involving wrongful termination under federal law, such as Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act. Ms. Goldstein also assists in advising management with respect to employment issues arising under state law including, but not limited to, workers’ compensation, the Texas Payday Act, breach of contract, the Texas Staff Leasing Services Act, tortious interference, invasion of privacy and intentional conflict of emotional distress.

Ms. Goldstein’s practice includes conducting internal investigations and counseling employers in order to minimize employment disputes and potential litigation with reference to issues concerning the employment relationship, including personnel and policy manuals and disciplinary issues. In addition, Ms. Goldstein also has experience in commercial litigation, appellate and healthcare matters.

During law school, Ms. Goldstein served as an intern for Judge David Hittner for the Southern District of Texas. She served as the Editor in Chief of the Houston Journal of International Law. Ms. Goldstein was a member of the University of Houston Law Center Moot Court Team, where she was a finalist in numerous competitions and won National Best Brief at the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition. Ms. Goldstein was also active in the American Bar Association Law Student Division and was the Circuit Governor for Texas and Louisiana; she was given a Silver Key for her dedication to the ABA Law Student Division. Ms. Goldstein’s involvement and accomplishments in law school were recognized when she was awarded the Distinguished Service Award at graduation.

Ms. Goldstein is a member of the American, Texas and Houston Bar Associations, as well as the Texas Young Lawyers’ Association. Ms. Goldstein serves on the Board of Trustees for the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston and is involved in other volunteer organizations.
