Law Firm Overview

I graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2008. I was licensed by the State Bar of Georgia the same year. I am admitted to practice in the Georgia trial courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.

I worked in four law practices before graduating from law school, including the University of Georgia's Family Violence Clinic where I was a student practioner and the firm of Fortson, Bentley, and Griffin where I was a law clerk. I have experience serving individual and corporate clients in a variety of matters.

Before my legal career, I worked as an electronics technician, a bus driver, and a customer service representative. I studied electronics technology at Athens Technical College and philosophy at the University of Georgia.

I was born in Virginia and raised in Middle Georgia. I have been married for ten years to my wife Amy. I have lived in the Athens area for twelve years.

I am a member of the American Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. I currently serve on the Athens-Clarke County Hearings Board because I am interested in guiding the future of my community.
