Law Firm Overview

I graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2008. I was licensed by the State Bar of Georgia the same year. I am admitted to practice in the Georgia trial courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.

I worked in four law practices before graduating from law school, including the University of Georgia's Family Violence Clinic where I was a student practioner and the firm of Fortson, Bentley, and Griffin where I was a law clerk. I have experience serving individual and corporate clients in a variety of matters.

Before my legal career, I worked as an electronics technician, a bus driver, and a customer service representative. I studied electronics technology at Athens Technical College and philosophy at the University of Georgia.

I was born in Virginia and raised in Middle Georgia. I have lived in the Athens area since 1997.

I am a member of the American Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. I currently serve on the Athens-Clarke County Hearings Board because I am interested in guiding the future of my community.
