Raúl Farías has extensive experience representing national and international clients in Mexican and cross-border transactions, including tender offers, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, debt offerings, and other capital formation and capital market transactions. He also has experience in acquisitions and disposals of assets, corporate restructurings, loan restructurings, and banking-related transactions; representing issuers and underwriters in private and public offerings of debt and equity securities and asset-backed securities; and representing international and Mexican banks in secured and unsecured lending transactions.

In addition to his banking and M&A experience, Raúl has handled and directed antitrust filings and notifications before the Mexican Federal Competition Commission.

He has published articles on a variety of legal topics and has participated as a panelist at legal forums, including on the future of legal regulation of financial entities at a prestigious Mexican university.

Raúl was an associate at Jones Day's Mexico City Office. After studying U.S. and Asian business and trade law in New York and Singapore for a year, he returned to Jones Day in 2010 and is currently working in New York.
