Greg Schlais is an associate in the firm's Honolulu office and is a member of the Corporate & Business Practice Group. His practice includes a range of matters including business formation and start-up, business planning and reorganization, real estate development projects, the buying and selling of businesses and business interests, land use entitlements and environmental work.

At the William S. Richardson School of Law, Mr. Schlais served as a Technical Editor of the University of Hawaii Law Review and as a research assistant to William S. Richardson Law Professor Eric Yamamoto.

Representative Matters

• Assist clients with business formation issues including drafting of formation documents and review of business start-up concerns.
• Represented various clients in purchase of real estate including drafting of documents, due diligence review and assisting client with post closing issues.
• Represented major landowner in environmental due diligence review.
• Assist large resort condominium developer in drafting agreements, review and preparation of transaction documents and submittal of various documents to pertinent government agencies for approval.
• Represent client in government procurement including representing client in government bid protest.
• Assist clients in dealing with various real property issues including examination of encumbrances to title, traditional and customary Native Hawaiian practices, property tax appeals, drafting of contracts, government permitting and environmental due diligence issues.
• Assisted in documenting the acquisition and disposition of real property holdings.
