Lawyer Overview

Petr Shevtsov concentrates on M&A transactions involving Russia and related regulatory matters. From 2003 to 2006 he was in-house counsel with SeverStal, one of Russia's leading steelmakers, where he worked on a wide range of transactional matters. From 2006 to 2008 he was the general counsel of Sveza, one of Russia's leading plywood and particle board makers. His experience includes working on the acquisition by Sveza of controlling stakes in Permskiy and Manturovskiy plywood mills and the formation of a €1.2 billion joint venture with UPM to build and operate a pulp mill, an OSB mill, and a saw mill in the Vologda region.
