Lawyer Overview

Ema is an associate in the Firm's Litigation and Immigration Practice Groups.  She is a 2002 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music and a 2008, suma cum laude graduate of Michigan State University College of Law where she received her J.D., ranked in the top 1% of her class.  Originally from the Former Yugoslavia, Ema has first hand experience with various immigration matters as she personally handled her own immigration process that included several changes in her immigration status (tourist (B2), student (F1), optical practical training (OPT), permanent resident and US citizen).  Ema also has experience in counseling individuals and corporations on how to obtain various US visas.  During law school, she received the jurisprudence award for outstanding academic performance in immigration law.
