Doug Clark has extensive experience in the formulation of family policy, having consulted on legal and policy issues with United Nations delegates and ambassadors and with family policy leaders at numerous UN conferences, commissions, and summits in New York and around the world, including as counsel and International Policy Director for an international family policy organization accredited in the UN. Doug's career experience includes serving as Vice President and Director of Content for the original Law.com where he negotiated strategic alliances, advised on internet legal issues and licensing, and directed his staff in producing what became the most highly trafficked legal website. His law practice has included commercial litigation as well as transactional practice focusing on banking, corporate, and consumer law, including regulatory compliance for consumer lending and the bankcard department of a large regional bank and authorship of its numerous consumer credit card agreements and disclosures, as well as merchant capture agreements, home equity credit lines, vehicle financing and security agreements, and commercial loan documents. Doug earned both a Masters of Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University, where he was managing editor of the Law Review. He is the author of a number of books and articles; author of proclamations on the family adopted by several states and used at the federal and international level; and participated in drafting the Utah Consumer Credit Code and various statutes. He is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese.
