Erin Healy Gallagher has complex commercial litigation experience in a variety of areas, including antitrust litigation, products liability, and insurance liability and recovery. Among other ongoing matters, Erin represents Bayer AG and its domestic affiliates in connection with In re Urethanes Antitrust Litigation, MDL-1616 (D. Kan.). She represents R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in federal litigation challenging advertising restrictions and in state litigation involving products liability claims. Erin recently concluded representation of a client seeking insurance recovery for damage to an offshore pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico.
Having enjoyed her exposure to civil rights litigation as a federal law clerk, Erin has focused her recent pro bono practice on representing a client pursuing an excessive use of force claim involving the Baltimore Police Department. She also is representing a combat-injured veteran seeking benefits in the DES Pilot Program before the Army Physical Evaluation Board and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Further, Erin volunteers at the D.C. Bar Advice and Referral Clinic and the D.C. Bar Landlord Tenant Resource Center.
