Lawyer Overview

Falk Schöning's practice focuses on German and EC antitrust matters, including merger control filings, corporate law, public procurement law, and state aid law.

Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson, Falk worked for a major international law firm’s regulation and environmental law practice in Cologne, Germany, while studying for his doctoral degree. After a year of working as the Parliamentary Assistant of a Member of the European Parliament (MEP), Falk completed his two year mandatory legal training in Berlin and in the London office of Hogan & Hartson, with a focus on competition law.

Falk's focus during completion of his doctoral degree was on aspects of public international law and Constitutional law in regard to federalism. He has published various articles on antitrust, state aid, and public procurement law.
