Coco joined Jones Day in August 2008. She is currently completing her doctorate program entitled "Judicial and Legal Protection of the Collective Interests According to the German Unterlassungsklagengesetz — UKlaG," which concerns the German laws of unfair competition. While attending school in China, she also worked at the West District Prosecutor's Office of Beijing in the Juvenile Crime Department. In 2007, she was an exchange student at the University of Florida where she studied international trade, U.S. corporate, and international copyright laws while also working as a research assistant for Prof. Stephen Powell's program on international trade and colorism.
