Harley L. Bjelland is an associate in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Mr. Bjelland has over twenty eight years of experience advising clients in the areas of ERISA and Employee Benefits. He has extensive experience in the areas of employee health and welfare benefit plans: qualified retirement plans (401(k) plans, ESOPs, and Defined Benefit Plans), statutory retirement plans (403(b), 457(b) and 457(f) plans), and executive perquisites 409A, Life Insurance products, SERPs, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, stock options and other compensation plans).

Mr. Bjelland is a former President of the Orange County Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Counsel. He has lectured for the University of California at Riverside Extension program, the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist Program,  the 49th Annual TSA Trust Forum, the Western Pension Conference National and Annual Seminars, and the Orange County Employee Benefits Counsel.

Mr. Bjelland earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his law degree from Loyola Law School, and his Master of Laws at New York University.
