Mr. Gornto's primary area of practice includes criminal law, general and complex criminal litigation emphasizing on DUI defense, administrative review hearings, and appeals.

Mr. Gornto is a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, graduating from Nease High School. He received his undergraduate degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Florida State University in 1999. While working full time, he received his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. After graduation, he was offered a position with the Public Defender's office for the 18th Judicial Circuit. Shortly thereafter, he came to work for the Public Defender's office in Jacksonville and handled a variety of misdemeanors while in County Court. He is a member of the Florida Bar, Jacksonville Bar Association, and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Prior to joining Epstein & Robbins, Mr. Gornto was an associate with the Law Offices of L. Lee Lockett and handled cases ranging from first degree felonies, to civil infractions. Mr. Gornto currently resides in Jacksonville with his wife Erin, and two sons.
