Neil Gornto was born and raised in Jacksonville. He received his B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Florida State University in 1999. He received his J.D. degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. After graduation he was offered a position with the Public Defender's Office for the 18th Judicial Circuit. Shortly thereafter, he came to work for the Public Defender's Office for the 4th Judicial Circuit. He is a member of The Florida Bar, The Jacksonville Bar Association and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
