Lawyer Overview

Colin Leary represents hospitals, health systems, and other health care industry clients in matters relating to health care transactions and public financing. He provides analysis and advice regarding compliance with federal and state laws in the structuring of joint ventures, management service agreements, and health care acquisitions. He has served as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, and borrower's counsel in hospital and long-term care facility financings.

Colin also consults with health care industry clients regarding ongoing regulatory compliance matters. He assists clients with the design of data privacy and security policies in light of requirements under HIPAA, the HITECH Act, and other federal and state medical privacy laws. He is experienced in counseling hospitals' institutional review boards and clinical investigators with respect to the review, approval, and implementation of FDA-approved clinical trial protocols.
