Rebecca Gillissie was born and raised in the Cleveland area. Following graduation from high school in Massachusetts, she returned to Ohio to attend Miami University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science in 1995. She earned a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in May 2000. Before joining Wilson Thomarios & Gillissie, LLC, Rebecca worked for Brown & Margolius, LPA, first as a law clerk and then as an associate, beginning April 1998 through September 2004. Rebecca has experience in representing injured workers and those pursuing Social Security disability benefits. She also has experience in estate planning. Rebecca is a member of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Akron Bar Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives. Rebecca resides in Cleveland with her husband Mike and their children Jack and Abby.
