Law Firm Overview

Koufos & Norgaard, LLC, was established in 2005 by John G. Koufos and Veronica R. Norgaard, and has gained a statewide reputation for aggressive and effective representation through meticulous case preparation, and dedicated client communication and service. John and Veronica served together as judicial law clerks in 2003, and accepted jobs with the same firm in 2004. After just a few months with that firm, John and Veronica realized that they could better serve their clients with a more personal, hands- on approach to lawyering. Today, Koufos & Norgaard, LLC, has cases active throughout New Jersey and New York.

In February 2005, their first office opened on the waterfront at 826 Mantoloking Road in Brick Township, New Jersey. By August 2006, their practice exploded to the point where they opened a second office at Five Elm Row in New Brunswick, directly across from the Middlesex County Courthouse. In December 2007, they outgrew their Brick Township office and relocated to their current facility, occupying the entire third floor at 103 Brighton Avenue, two blocks from the beach in the West End section of Long Branch.

John and Veronica are not your typical attorneys. They work hard, and understand that legal problems do not usually occur during business hours. They are available, and regularly email clients from mobile devices to ensure that their clients are kept in the loop. They are smart enough to write the contracts necessary to complete a large building project or transaction, and tough enough to vigorously litigate the project or transaction if the contracts are not followed. They try and win criminal, family and civil cases throughout the State, and they never relent, no matter how large or politically powerful the adversary.
