She received her undergraduate degree from Texas State University San Marcos (B.A. in Psychology and Social Work, 2003). Ms. Gest received her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law in 2007 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas that same year. While attending South Texas College of Law, Ms. Gest served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association.
