Lawyer Overview
Christine's practice focuses on international commercial dispute resolution, including international commercial arbitration, ADR, and litigation. She has extensive experience handling foreign and domestic arbitration cases with the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC). She also has experience conducting arbitration cases with the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Court). In addition, she is familiar with Chinese foreign trade and investment laws and international conventions/principles on international trade and investment, such as the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts.
Christine qualified as a PRC lawyer in 1995, and she is a listed arbitrator on the CIETAC and the HKIAC Panel of Arbitrators. She has acted as counsel, chief arbitrator, party-nominated arbitrator, and sole arbitrator for hundreds of cases involving contracts of the international sale of goods, technology transfers, leasing, construction, insurance, joint ventures, and cooperative contracts.
Between 1998 and 2003, Christine worked for the Arbitration Institute of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). From 2003 to 2005, she worked in the Arbitration Supervision Department of CIETAC's Beijing headquarters. Prior to joining Jones Day, she was an associate in the Beijing office of a U.K. law firm.
Christine is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (U.K.) and the association Arbitralwomen (France). She is fluent in Chinese, English, and French.
