Lawyer Overview

Meg Gleason has broad experience in complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on insurance coverage advice and litigation primarily in the areas of commercial general liability (CGL) and directors and officers (D&O) insurance. Meg also has litigation experience in products liability, employment, appellate, and general contract and tort matters. She has appeared in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, as well as before U.S. and international arbitral tribunals. She has argued in federal district court and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She recently served on a trial team pursuing directors and officers coverage in a three-week international arbitration in the U.K.

Meg's pro bono practice has included serving as court-appointed counsel for prisoners alleging civil rights violations at the federal trial and appellate levels. She represented a mother in efforts to readmit her child into a local elementary school under federal statutes that ensure equal access to public education for homeless children and youths. She served on the Local Rules Committee for the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the subcommittee for revisions to Local Rule 23 (class actions), in connection with revisions to the Local Rules effective December 2009.
