Lawyer Overview

Kirk Kringelis practices in the area of multistate taxation. He has extensive experience with multistate tax minimization planning for businesses and transactional tax planning for business reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions. Specifically, Kirk has represented and advised corporate clients regarding various issues, including unitary/combined or consolidated reporting, apportionment, net operating losses, and nexus. In addition, he has significant experience regarding the reporting of federal income tax audit adjustments to state taxing authorities. His experience also includes state and local income and franchise tax audit defense and negotiation of voluntary disclosure agreements for taxpayers with alleged tax liabilities. Kirk has represented and advised clients in a range of industries, including manufacturing, transportation, retail, technology, real estate, and energy.

He is a member of the State Bar of Illinois and the Illinois Bar Association.
