Lawyer Overview

Angel Huang focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investments (FDIs), and private equity/venture capital transactions. She represents target companies, as well as investors, in financing deals and represents major Chinese companies in potential cross-border acquisitions and joint ventures. She frequently advises clients on general corporate, tax, and compliance and structuring issues of Chinese companies.

Angel works with clients in a broad spectrum of industries such as manufacturing, insurance, glassware, chemical, information technology, and dairy. In addition, she represents investment banks, equity funds, and educational institutions.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2007, Angel worked at a prominent U.K. firm in Shanghai, where she advised on FDIs, technology licensing, share purchase arrangements, and foreign investment enterprises (FIEs). Angel is also experienced in PRC employment law and has advised multinational companies on employment schemes and contracts.

While in law school in St. Louis, Angel was a summer associate at a firm where she worked on U.S. IP litigation and registration matters. From 1999 to 2002, she worked at a Taiwan law firm where she was heavily involved in intellectual property registration and prosecution for major U.S. companies.

Angel is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
