Tasheika Hinson focuses her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation and white-collar criminal defense.
Tasheika's complex commercial litigation practice includes representing clients in antitrust, trademark infringement, contractual disputes, and consumer litigation. She has represented companies and individuals under investigation by the United States Senate, the Department of Justice, and various federal agencies. She also has handled a wide variety of white-collar criminal cases, including cases involving false claims, bribery of public officials, government contract fraud, insider trading, mail and wire fraud, securities fraud, and tax fraud.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Tasheika served as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Kristi K. DuBose in the Southern District of Alabama. In that capacity, she attended numerous trials and hearings, drafted orders, and became acquainted with all aspects of federal litigation.
Tasheika is a member of the State Bar of Georgia's Litigation Section, the Atlanta Bar Association, the National Association of Women Lawyers, the Gate City Bar Association, and the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA). She is actively involved in the community and volunteers with the Truancy Intervention Project. In addition, she has successfully represented clients before the Juvenile Court of Fulton County, Georgia.
