As a member of the Firm's Issues & Appeals Practice, Paul focuses on appellate advocacy and legal strategy in complex litigation. His appellate representations include preparation of petitions for writs of certiorari and merits briefs in the United States Supreme Court. Paul has briefed multiple cases in the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and has briefed matters in trial and appellate courts in the Second, Fourth, and D.C. Circuits as well as various state courts.

Paul has experience in the fields of constitutional law, federal courts and federal jurisdiction, antitrust, intellectual property, and bankruptcy law, among others. In addition, Paul maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on appellate representations in the areas of immigration and federal criminal law.
