Lawyer Overview

Alexander practices in the area of business restructuring & reorganization as well as banking and finance, particularly corporate finance, syndicated lending, and acquisition finance. Alexander has experience in syndicated lending transactions involving banks in Eastern Europe, Russia, and CIS and also has advised clients on acquisition financing and international group refinancing transactions. Furthermore, Alexander advises clients on distressed asset transactions and mergers & acquisitions.

He also advises on financial, credit, and energy derivatives and has been involved in structured medium-term note and commercial paper programmes and debt issues.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Alexander worked in one of the leading banks in Riga, Latvia and for another international law firm in Germany.
