Lawyer Overview

Jane Yang specializes in the areas of foreign direct investment in China, including M&A, real estate, general corporate, employment, and tax-related matters.

Jane's representative experience includes:

• advising the world's fourth largest advertising group in restructuring its investment in China, including making equity acquisitions of state-owned assets

• representing a major U.S. catering services company in becoming the caterer for the Olympic village, the media village, the main press center, and the international broadcasting center for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, including the preparation, negotiation, and conclusion of related contracts with the BOCOG (the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad), the Chinese partner, and major subcontractors and suppliers

• advising a large Cayman Islands-based venture capital fund in its acquisition of PRC real estate development projects in China and

• advising a publicly listed Australian company engaged in agribusiness in its assets acquisition in China and the establishment of a joint venture in Tianjin.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Jane worked in U.S. and U.K. law firms in Beijing. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is fluent in Chinese and English.
