Anita Leung has 20 years of experience in the protection, exploitation, and enforcement of intellectual property rights, with particular focus on commercial IP and transactional support, IP enforcement and litigation, and product regulatory compliance. She represents and advises clients in the licensing, franchising, commercialization, and acquisition of IP rights, from research and development to conducting due diligence and IP audits for internal compliance, mergers, acquisitions, and public listings. Anita also handles copyright, trademark, patent, design, and domain name disputes and infringements and advises clients on product regulatory and compliance issues.

Anita has represented many corporations and institutions on various legislative and regulatory concerns in Hong Kong and played an active role in lobbying the Hong Kong government on many legislative changes and policies, including the Copyright Ordinance, the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Ordinance, and the company name registration provisions of the Companies Ordinance.

Anita sits on the board of governors of the American Chamber of Commerce and the Design, Marketing and Licensing Services Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. She is also a member of the Working Committee of the Intellectual Property Rights Protection Alliance and the Intellectual Property Committee of the Hong Kong Law Society. Anita is vice chair of the Licensing Executive Society of China (Hong Kong Sub-chapter) and a member of the Hong Kong Companies Registry and IP Practitioners Liaison Committee.

Anita is also a nonpracticing member of the bars of England and Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, and Singapore.
