Rosa F. Cheuk Kim is a law clerk in Foley & Lardner's Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Practice. Ms. Cheuk Kim assists attorneys with respect to patent preparation and prosecution.
Prior to joining Foley, Ms. Cheuk Kim was a research assistant for The Salk Institute for Biological Studies, where she worked on large scale plant genomic projects. The projects focused on cloning and analysis of cDNA data and construction and analysis of tDNA insertion mutation library data for the global expression studies of the NSF funded Arabidopsis thaliana 2010 program.
Ms. Cheuk Kim received her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law (J.D., 2008), where she was a member and associate research editor of the San Diego Law Review. She earned her M.A. in biotechnology (2000) and her B.A. in biology (1999) from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a lab assistant in the biology department, focusing on the analysis and annotation of genome sequence data of Chromosome I of Arabidopsis thaliana.
Ms. Cheuk Kim volunteers for the Southern California Special Olympics (2003 - present).
