Lawyer Overview

As a partner of the firm, Chuck's primary practice areas are civil litigation, real estate transactions and estates. He is a graduate of Lafayette College and Villanova University School of Law. Chuck previously worked in the civil litigation division of a law firm in Montgomery County (McTighe, Weiss and O'Rourke, P.C.) and then as staff trial lawyer for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in its Philadelphia legal department (Thompson and Pennell). He conducted all stages of liability and workers’ compensation litigation through verdict.

Chuck is currently Chief Public Defender in Lehigh County and is a member of the County Executive's Cabinet. He sat on the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Bar Association from 1996-98 and was Chairperson of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division from 1996-97, during which time he conceptualized and initiated the Day on the Hill legislative awareness program which has become an annual event sponsored by the PBA. Chuck is a member of the Donald E. Wieand, Sr., American Inn of Court. He is a former Chairperson of the Lehigh County Democratic Committee.

Chuck and his wife Sue have two sons, Tom, 6, and Joe, 3, who love taking weekend “Daddy trips” with their father and the family dog Grover. To ensure proper male-bonding, each Daddy trip must include the Jeep, sports equipment, water, dirt and lots of food!
