Prior to entering law school, Ms. Champ worked in the corporate department of Goodwin Procter LLP, where she assisted the staff attorneys in all aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, fund formations, stock offerings, regulatory compliance, corporate restructuring, and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). Her responsibilities included turning agreements for high level deals; creating and maintaining corporate record books; conducting due diligence; drafting legal agreements, including formation and merger documents, by-laws, board resolutions, and annual reports; and assisting the litigation department in trial preparation. In addition, Ms. Champ worked on a pro bono derivative asylum case for 10 Somalian refugees that included interviewing clients and third-parties, and drafting relevant affidavits.

Ms. Champ is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 2007) where she was an associate editor on the Michigan Journal of International Law; a representative for the Student Senate; and a member of the Women's Student Law Association. She earned her undergraduate degree in political science, with honors, from Vassar College (B.A., 2002) and attended Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan, where she completed a year of intensive study in the Japanese language and international trade.

Ms. Champ is conversational in Japanese.
