Lawyer Overview
Robert Tucker is a member of our Litigation practice and has hands-on experience handling matters from oral arguments to depositions and administrative agency hearings.
Mr. Tucker assisted in the representation of a major healthcare client’s response to an investigation and subpoena from the Drug Enforcement Agency. He was responsible for overseeing an exceptionally long document production in which he supervised and assisted temporary contract lawyers and interfaced with the senior attorneys handling the agency contact.
Mr. Tucker has also been involved in the investigation and organization of evidence in the SIPA proceeding involving the Madoff Ponzi scheme. He has participated with a team of lawyers gathering documents to assist the Trustee in determining the nature and extent of the massive fraud.
In addition, Mr. Tucker has been a regular member of trial teams handling professional negligence and product liability cases, where his responsibilities include Daubert motions and other matters involving expert witnesses. He has successfully disqualified an opposing expert leading to the dismissal of the case.
Mr. Tucker regularly assists the firm's class action team by drafting trial and appellate briefs on issues particular to the class action cases.
Beyond his complex case experience, Mr. Tucker has independently handled matters before the State Motor Vehicle Board, consumer claims and the collection of monies owed to one of the firm's large healthcare clients.
During law school, Mr. Tucker was the Communications Editor of the
Mr. Tucker is a co-founder and co-director of the Barton Memorial Cup, a charity golf outing that raises money for the Robert K. Barton Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund was created by Jack Nicklaus in 1968 in honor of his college roommate, Robert Barton, who was an attorney and great local amateur golfer, who died tragically in a plane crash on his way to see Jack play in the 1966 Masters. Money from this scholarship fund helps students attending The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
