Kim Carl Lobring is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is a member of the firm's Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Practice and Nanotechnology Industry Team.

Prior to joining Foley, Dr. Lobring worked as a chemistry instructor at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida and was a postdoctoral associate at Northern Illinois University.

Dr. Lobring received his J.D. degree (magna cum laude, 2007) from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was an associate editor of the Journal of Law, Technology & Policy, and received the distinction of honors in legal research and writing. During law school, Dr. Lobring served as a law clerk at the Office of University Counsel at the University of Illinois in Champaign. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry from Northern Illinois University (2001). Dr. Lobring received a B.S. in chemistry and mathematics (1995) from McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois.

Dr. Lobring is admitted to practice in California. He is a member of the American Chemical Society.
