Andrew Dixon is a Managing Partner of Bowler Dixon & Twitchell LLP. He concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate, business, commercial and franchise law, and bankruptcy, including significant transactional and litigation experience in these areas. Mr. Dixon recently served as lead counsel on a multi-million transaction involving the purchase of a national sandwich shop franchisor and has been involved with other significant transactions involving the purchase and sale of stock and business assets. Mr. Dixon also assists clients with their business transaction needs, including the preparation of business and asset purchase and sale agreements, promissory notes, security agreements, and entity formation documents. Mr. Dixon has also successfully represented a wide range of clients, including business owners, general contractors, land owners, developers, and lenders in both simple and complex litigation matters, having commenced his career as a commercial litigation associate with Beckley Singleton, Chtd. (now merged with Lewis and Roca, LLP) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
While in law school, Mr. Dixon served as Judicial Extern to the Honorable Robert C. Jones, United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada (now Federal District Court Judge), where he broadened his understanding of commercial disputes in the context of bankruptcy. These experiences allow him to counsel his business and commercial clients with a unique forward-looking approach. He also is a published author, legal education lecturer, and has had his litigation work lead to a noteworthy published opinion regarding the duties of independent contractors under Nevada law. See Tousa Homes, Inc. v. Phillips, 363 F. Supp. 2d 1274 (D. Nev. 2005). Mr. Dixon earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law in 2003 and his B.A. in International Studies from Brigham Young University in 1999. Mr. Dixon is a lifelong resident of Las Vegas and is proud of his Nevada heritage, one that stretches back to the early 1930s when his grandfather was a cement foreman on the Boulder ("Hoover") Dam project. In his spare time, Mr. Dixon is an avid fisherman and college football fan. He is fluent in Spanish.
