Professional Qualifications
Ms. Hale is a 2001 graduate of the University of Oregon where she played Division I soccer for the Ducks achieving Pac-10 accolades as an athlete and student. In college, Ms. Hale was a member of the Golden Key National Honors Society, which recognizes scholastic achievement in undergraduate fields of study. Eligibility is limited to the top 15 percent of juniors and seniors. She was also chosen to be part of Who's Who Among American College Students. Ms. Hale graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in the spring of 2006. Ms. Hale is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in the State of Washington and has also practiced in federal court in the Northern District of California.
Community and Civic Activities
As a law student, Ms. Hale was a member of Spanish Street Law, participated in SELF (Sports and Entertainment Law Forum), and the Civil Practice Clinic at Lane County Legal Aid Service. In the spring of 2006 Ms. Hale spent time in San Antonio, Texas at Rio Grande Legal Aid working with Hurricane Katrina and Rita victims. In 2008, Ms. Hale volunteered her time to assist disaster victims in the wake of the December 2007 flooding in Washington. Here, she helped low-income tenants understand their rights and obligations when units became uninhabitable due to water or structural damage.
