Alicia Edwards received her Juris Doctor with highest honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tulsa with a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and a minor in chemistry. She holds a master's degree in environmental management from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a Ph.D. in environmental science from the University of Oklahoma. She is also a registered patent attorney.

Before entering law school, Dr. Edwards was an environmental scientist for an international engineering consulting firm. Her duties included site investigation, assisting clients with permitting and other regulatory compliance issues, coordinating public involvement programs, and preparing emergency response plans for water utilities. She joined Doerner, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson in 2007, where her practice is currently focused on environmental law and intellectual property.

Dr. Edwards is a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. She currently serves as Committee Vice Chair for the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources Pesticides, Chemical Regulation, and Right-to-Know Committee and as a board member for Tulsa Zoo Friends, Inc.
