Brian Shallcross comes to Clifford Law Offices with years of experience working on behalf of the injured and disabled. Prior to attending law school, Brian worked in the Illinois state child welfare system, where he helped the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services work with foster parents to secure federal funding support for special-needs foster children. At Clifford Law Offices, Brian is immersed in a number of high profile, high stakes cases involving a wide range of issues, including aviation, medical malpractice, products liability, commercial trucking, premises liability, civil rights, and automobile collisions.

Brian Shallcross has achieved many notable verdicts and settlements since he joined the firm as an attorney in 2005. He obtained a $5 million verdict on behalf of a woman who underwent an unnecessary hysterectomy. Along with Clifford Law Offices' Partner Robert Strelecky, Brian obtained a $5,950,000 jury verdict in DuPage County on behalf of a man who suffered severe nerve and muscle damage in his leg after a doctor negligently tore his iliac artery while performing a contraindicated stenting procedure. The verdict is the 3rd largest medical malpractice verdict in the history of DuPage County according to the Jury Verdict Reporter. Brian was also part of the legal team that secured a $77 million dollar global settlement of the John Hancock Building scaffolding collapse litigation. He is presently involved in the complex litigation surrounding the property damage that resulted from the September 11, 2001 tragedy at the World Trade Center. Along with partner, Tim Tomasik, Brian was involved with the litigation surrounding the crash of the private jet that killed the younger son of NBC Sports Chairman, Dick Ebersol. Brian is also working on the wrongful death and civil rights case of a Hispanic man who was killed by police officers in suburban Blue Island. The tragic case made national headlines and was featured on international Spanish television stations. Brian may be found at the office on many weekends and late evenings researching every aspect of an important point of law or uncovering a new theory of liability that needs to be flushed out. His no-nonsense approach to his work earns him the respect of his colleagues and makes him the person to turn to when in need of a logical, well-thought-out answer.

Brian is a member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. He is actively involved in the Chicago Bar Association's Judicial Evaluation Committee.
