Lawyer Overview

After graduating from the Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law, Chris Stock gained significant experience in appellate advocacy, both as a judicial law clerk for Ohio Supreme Court Justice Terrence O’Donnell and as Deputy State Solicitor for former Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro, arguing multiple cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Ohio Supreme Court and Ohio appellate courts.

Chris also served as the Deputy First Assistant Attorney General in which he was a principal counsel to the Attorney General on a wide variety of legal and policy-oriented issues, including numerous constitutional and regulatory matters arising from state agencies, boards and commissions. Prior to his service in state government, Chris was an attorney at a 500-lawyer nationally-recognized labor and employment law firm. He specialized in representing corporations in employment-related litigation.

A central Ohio resident for over fifteen years, Chris and his wife Elizabeth reside in Dublin, a Columbus suburb. Aside from participating in several adult leagues, Chris is an active member of the YMCA youth soccer program and coaches disadvantaged youths little league soccer during the fall and spring.
