Lawyer Overview

Matt Raley joined the Houston office of Baker Hostetler in 2005 as an associate in the Litigation Group. Mr. Raley devotes a significant portion of his practice to commercial litigation, including contract disputes, fraud and other business misconduct. Mr. Raley’s practice also includes representing corporate clients in toxic tort, products liability and mass personal injury cases. Mr. Raley has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in all stages of condemnation proceedings instituted by common carriers and the State of Texas. Mr. Raley was a member of a trial team which obtained a major defense verdict on behalf of an international chemical manufacturer in a plant explosion case in which there were a total of 59 plaintiffs.

Mr. Raley is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Young Lawyers Association. Mr. Raley organizes and plays on Baker Hostetler’s basketball team in the Houston Young Lawyers Association League.
