Lawyer Overview

Troy Allen joined the Houston office of Baker Hostetler in September 2004 and represents clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract and property disputes. He also has extensive experience defending oil and gas service providers from claims of negligence and gross negligence in cases involving catastrophic accidents. He has regularly participated in the defense of these claims from the initial on-scene investigation through litigation.

Mr. Allen has appeared for clients in both state and federal courts. He also has experience with various methods of alternative dispute resolution, including international arbitration and summary jury trials.

While in law school, Mr. Allen served as the Managing Editor of The Review of Litigation. He was named Outstanding Staff Member for his service to that journal during his second year, and he was given the Best Editor Award during his third year. Mr. Allen's accomplishments while serving The Review of Litigation were recognized in a commendation letter from William Powers, Dean of the University of Texas School of Law.

Mr. Allen is a member of the Texas and American Bar Associations.
