Lawyer Overview

David L. Evans Jr. practices real estate law as a member of the firm's Business Group.

Mr. Evans counsels clients in matters related to property acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing, commercial and residential condominium formation and operation, development and land-use, finance, and property development and re-development for a wide range of property types, including commercial, retail, industrial, residential, and mixed-use projects. Mr. Evans maintains a special emphasis on commercial leasing transactions including the representation of landlords and tenants in traditional office, condominium office, ground, industrial and retail leasing matters.

In law school Mr. Evans was author of the note, “New Jersey Democratic Party v. Samson: What Remains of New Jersey's Election Deadlines?” 32 Stet. L. Rev. 897 (2003). He also served as a Federal Judicial Intern in the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, for the Honorable Judge Magistrate Thomas B. McCoun III.

Mr. Evans is active in the Central Florida real estate community and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties Central Florida Chapter. Mr. Evans also serves on the Board of Directors of, and as the Banquet Committee Chairman for, the Coastal Conservation Association of Florida's Orlando Chapter. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and is a past member of the Orlando Young Leader's Group Program Committee. Mr. Evans is a member of the International Counsel of Shopping Centers and is a past member of the Orlando Next Generation Program Planning Committee.

Mr. Evans is a member of the Florida Bar Association.
