Law Firm Overview

Dickinson, Mackaman, Tyler & Hagen, P.C., as it is now known, was founded in 1936 by a young attorney from Kossuth County in northern Iowa, L. Call Dickinson. The firm was initially devoted primarily to focus on tax law. In 1940, Mr. Dickinson's father, former United States Senator L.J. Dickinson, joined him in the law practice and the firm quickly grew in its representation of clients in many areas of law. The firm developed an extensive business practice, especially with respect to corporate finance, securities, real estate, health care, and tax matters.

As it is known today, our firm offers a full range of legal services for businesses (large and small) and individuals. Our attorneys work hard to continue their predecessors' reputation for representing clients in all areas of the law.

Emerging technology and new products, as well as changes in public policies and attitudes, have had an impact on the practice of law over the years. We have moved forward aggressively, making strategic investments in human and technological resources to ensure that we remain up-to-date and current with the advancements of modern technology.

Over the years, our firm has grown significantly and changed with the times. As we look to the future, we embark upon the course of continuing to refine and develop the traditional services we have rendered to clients since our firm's inception. At the same time, we strive to adapt to the ever-changing challenges to the legal system and the workings of commerce, to ensure that our clients will continue to be as well-served in the future as they have been in the past.
