Lawyer Overview

Lee works extensively in the electrical, computer, and telecommunications-related arts. He has significant experience in working with clients drafting and prosecuting patent applications as well as assisting in due diligence analysis and freedom-to-operate investigations. Lee has specific experience prosecuting and analyzing telecommunications patents related to cellular telecommunications technology, including GSM, CDMA2000, UMTS, and wireless geolocation. He also has significant experience prosecuting U.S. and international trademark applications.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Lee worked as an IP law clerk at Duane Morris LLP. Before that, he served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Submarine Force onboard USS Olympia (SSN 717). While on active duty, he qualified as a nuclear engineer, supervised the sonar division, and led a watch section of more than 20 sailors during lengthy underway operations as the officer of the deck. Lee received several military awards and citations, including the Navy Commendation Medal and the Navy Expeditionary Medal.
