Lawyer Overview

Victor began his professional career in 1991 at the Gómez Acebo & Pombo law firm in Madrid, where he worked in the corporate law department and later in the real estate, planning, and environmental law department until he joined Jones Day in 2007.

Victor specializes in the acquisition of real estate assets and portfolios, real estate finance and guarantees, structuring of real estate investment vehicles, lease agreements, leaseback transactions, real estate development, construction, and turnkey contracts. He has advised investors, developers, companies, and professionals of the construction industry; funds; property companies; and end users in different business sectors with respect to their corporate real estate.

He also has experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate law, and commercial contracts as well as environmental law (greenhouse gas emissions trading, waste management, land contamination, environmental liabilities in acquisitions, and property finance transactions).

Victor regularly writes and speaks at conferences and seminars on real estate, corporate, and environmental law.
