Lawyer Overview

Edward Chang represents clients in all aspects of commercial litigation, including pretrial preparation, motion practice, resolution, and appeal, in a wide array of state and federal matters. This includes litigation and arbitration experience in the areas of antitrust, corporate governance, class action, securities, real estate, land use, unfair competition, credit reporting, products liability, and intellectual property. Edward has represented Fortune 500 companies in the telecommunications, energy, medical device, pharmaceutical, investment, banking, real estate, and credit industries and also has represented municipalities and public entities. Prior to joining Jones Day, Edward was an associate at Dewey Ballantine LLP, a prominent New York-based international law firm in Los Angeles, where he practiced as both a litigator and corporate attorney.

While in law school, Edward served as a federal judicial extern and was awarded a meritorious service certificate. He also participated in national and intramural moot court and trial advocacy competitions, earning numerous best brief and best oral argument awards. Prior to law school, Edward managed a large automotive collision repair facility and also served as both an appraiser and technician. To that end, he has extensive knowledge of the automotive and related fields.

Edward is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the Korean American Bar Association, and the Asian American Bar Association. He is fluent in Korean and speaks conversational Spanish.
