Law Firm Overview
McAllister Law Office, P.C. is dedicated to professionalism and exceptional service. McAllister Law Office, P.C. is focused on three areas: criminal defense, divorce, and real estate. Sean T. McAllister is the primary attorney and he has successfully tried or managed hundreds of criminal, divorce, and real estate cases. Sean has handled every type of criminal defense case, from common DUIs, to felony drug cases, to sex assault cases, and even homicide cases. Due to the quality of Sean's work, he is regularly appointed by the Colorado Courts to represent low income individuals in criminal defense and family law cases.
Sean handles complex and contentious divorce cases, dealing with issues of alimony (maintenance), property division, and child custody and support. In addition, Sean practices real estate law, handling common residential real estate transactions and contentious litigation over real estate matters. As part of this work, Sean represents people subject to government condemnation of their land to try to get them the most value for their land. While Sean is an aggressive advocate for his client, he often seeks to find a way to resolve cases short of litigation in order to save the client money and heartache.
Sean has also has extensive experience with public interest environmental litigation. From 2000 to 2003, Sean served as an Assistant Attorney General with the State of Colorado in the Natural Resources Division. At the Attorney General's Office, Sean worked on the Leadville Superfund Site and other mining contamination sites around Colorado. In addition, Sean has represented groups in fights against pollution and development, including Environmental Defense, National Wildlife Federation, Western Resources Advocates, Forest Guardians, Western Mining Action Project Western Colorado Congress, Sierra Club Kentucky, FightTheFence.org, and Coloradans Concerned Against Toxic Waste. Sean represents private citizens in zoning disputes with local planning departments and helps private landowners fight against gravel mines and other unwanted development in close proximity to their homes.
Sean's philosophy is that honest people need determined advocacy from a quality lawyer to protect themselves against unscrupulous people. McAllister Law Office, P.C. provides that kind of determined advocacy to honest people at an affordable price.
