Jennifer Calver has broad experience in banking and syndicated lending; real estate, development and hotel financing; acquisition, telecom and oil and gas financing; pre-administration funding; debtor in possession financing; bond/note issues; and restructuring advice, predominantly in a cross-border context. She also has experience in mergers and acquisitions, establishing joint ventures, limited partnerships and offshore unit trusts and has worked on a range of corporate and commercial contracts including franchise agreements.

She has acted for a large number of real estate investment funds sponsored by, among others, British Land, CB Richard Ellis Investors, Cordea Savills, Highcross, LaSalle Investment Management, Levanter Properties, Meyer Bergman, Orion Capital Managers, Resolution Property and Signature Capital and has advised on subscription credit and acquisition facilities provided by lenders including Capmark Bank Europe PLC, Eurohypo, HSBC, The Royal Bank of Scotland, The Royal Bank of Scotland International and WestLB.

Following the global financial crisis, Jennifer has been working with borrowers in financial difficulty or in breach of covenant by assisting them through restructuring their debt, negotiating debt buybacks and rescheduling payment arrangements with lenders and developers. She also has advised lenders on their options in a default scenario and investors interested in acquiring distressed debt.

In her more than 10 years of legal experience, Jennifer has practiced in London, Amsterdam and Dubai.
