Lawyer Overview

As Of Counsel with Hunt & Cook, Brian focuses his practice on Business and Corporate Law matters alongside Professional Athlete Representation in the fields of Football, Baseball and Golf.  Brian has experience in general corporate law, with a focus on the legal needs of growth-oriented businesses. He also has experience in mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and financing transactions.

As part of Brian's growing Athlete Representation and Sports Law practice, Brian chairs the Entertainment & Sports Law Committee at the Cleveland Bar Association.  Further, he is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and the National Sports Law Institute.  Moreover, Brian is a member of the Ohio State Bar's Sports & Entertainment Section and the American Bar Association's Entertainment & Sports Industries Forum.  Lastly, Brian is an applicant to the NFLPA Contract Advisor Certification program, permitting him to represent football players in playing contract negotiations with NFL teams after July 2007.

Brian has prior business experience as Chief Operating Officer/General Counsel of a 40-location retail company.  Additionally, he was an accountant with a small business advisory firm and a Management Consultant with one of the Big Five Accounting Firms.

A resident of Westlake, Ohio and member at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Bay Village, Brian loves spending time with his wife and son.
