Ms. Conley's current practice encompasses complex commercial litigation and government litigation. Ms. Conley has also devoted a significant portion of her practice to representing clients on a pro bono basis.
Prior to her clerkship, Ms. Conley was an associate in the litigation department of Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York.
While in law school, Ms. Conley was the principal organizer of a small group of students that drafted and submitted an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court in Grutter v. Bollinger, 539 U.S. 306 (2003), supporting the University of Michigan Law School's use of a race-conscious admissions program. As a result of her work on the brief, she was selected to speak at several forums at Howard University about affirmative action in higher education.
Professional Activities
Ms. Conley is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She currently co-teaches the appellate advocacy course for the Charles Hamilton Houston National Moot Court Team at Howard University School of Law.
Honors and Awards
Ms. Conley is a recipient of the firm's Pickering fellowship in Washington, DC, established in honor of John H. Pickering. She will spend six months practicing at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF) in New York.
